Icarus Bleeding

 I am Icarus

smashing into glass

drowning in the sea of blood

the sun was so low

how could the firmament

between here and there

still be so earthbound

looking up

at those walking above the glass

I am a sister of the sea of tears

just another mother

fallen under boot

part of me forever dead

in that sea of blood
